Code of Elections

Elections of the Student Council are held for the following:
• Chairperson: The Chairperson is the Head of the Student Council.
• Vice-Chairperson: The Vice-Chairperson will be assisting chairperson in matters of concern.
• Secretary: The secretary takes down the notes of all the Student Council meetings.
• College Sports Secretary: The Sports Secretary assists the Sports Committee in organizing and coordinating all the sports events
• College Cultural Secretary: The Cultural Secretary assists the Cultural Committee in organizing and coordinating all the cultural events.
• Class Representative: Every class elects two class representatives – a boy and a girl
• Class Sports Secretary: Every class elects one sports secretary
• Class Cultural Secretary: Every class elects one cultural secretary

General Criteria for all the Elected Posts:
• Should have a minimum of 60% in academics.
• Should be regular to college
• Should have no suspension record
• Should not have any backlogs (failures)

Criteria for Sports Secretary
Should be proven good in Sports with the support of documents and certificates.

Criteria for Cultural Secretary
Should be proven good in Cultural Events with the support of documents and certificates.

Note:
• Only the Final years are eligible to be the Chairperson
• Only the Second Years are eligible to be the Vice-Chairperson and Secretary
• Only the Final Years and Second Years are eligible to be the College Sports Secretary and College Cultural Secretary. They should be proven good in Sport and Cultural Events respectively, with the support of documents and certificates.
• A student once elected for a particular post, is not eligible to contest for the same post, in the successive years.
